For many of our e-resources, we may access articles published from a certain year. For example, for ScienceDirect, we may access to the journal full texts from 2010 to present. The archives (backfiles) of e-journals are sold separately and the Library has not subscribed to all backfiles.

If the article need access to an article in ScienceDirect, you may use Duxiu Academic Search to get the full text.

  •  Find Duxiu Academic Search under ‘D’ in Database A-Z and go to the main interface;
  •  Click ‘Journals’ and then enter the title of the article you’ve found in ScienceDirect (or any other databases) but have no full-text access. Click ‘Foreign search’;

  • Find the article in the result list. Click ‘图书馆文献传递’ (inter-library delivery).

  • Fill in the request form with your email address and the verification code. The article will usually be sent to your email box within 1-2 working days.

If you are still not able to find the full text, please check our Inter-library Loan guide for further assistance.
