The Library purchases e-books as a collection such as Springer Link E-books and McGraw-Hill E-book Library (Business package), instead of individual titles. Also, please be notified that e-textbooks is out of the scope of library collection development.

To recommend an e-book collection, staff can submit the requests by filling in the Library Electronic Resource Recommendation Form and then sending to liaison librarians. Upon received, the requests shall be  processed according to the workflow of digital resources subscription indicated in Electronic Resources Development and Management Policy

For an individual title recommended, the Library will check whether the title is included in the same platform of an existing collection. If so, it could be subscribed as the addendum to the existing collection during the renewal period.

All requests should fit into the scope of academic department's teaching and research, which means the recommendation should to be a decision on department level rather than individual. Individual requests are usually obtained via Interlibrary Loan Service

For any query about e-textbook, you are recommended to contact textbook@xjtlu.edu.cn
