Library Catalogue is also known as OPAC, which is the abbreviation of Online Public Access Catalogue. It allows everyone to publicly search library’s printed books and e-books. However, only current students and staff who hold their valid XJTLU ID card can borrow printed books from the Library. For the same reason, the access to full text of e-books which are subscribed or locally installed at the University’s server, should be restricted to XJTLU authorised users through University IP address authentication.
So, if you are on campus and use XJTLU internet connection, you can easily find the way to access the e-book. Taking ‘Fundamentals of management / Eighth edition’ as an example:
Step 1: Search the book title in Library Catalogue search box that is embedded in Library homepage;
Step 2: Click the search result to view the detailed page. Scroll down the page to find the link of 'Electronic Location and Access';
Step 3: Click the URL to view chapter or download PDF.
If you are off campus, you can use Discover to search for the e-books. Find Off-campus Access to E-books for details.
Friendly reminder: any use of resources beyond the scope of the License may be grounds for termination of access. Computer programs that automatically download content are not allowed.
