EBSCO eBooks Academic Collection is a multidisciplinary collection which includes more than 249,400 eBooks covering a large selection of academic subjects and features e-books from leading publishers and university presses. All eBooks are searchable and accessible from Discover with unlimited user access. Rather than reading online, you can also partially download pages, chapters or the full book for reading at a later time.
1. Partial book downloads (pages, chapters)
By clicking PDF Full Text, you can open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer which allows you to view and read the full book online. The contents are listed by chapters. Depending on publisher-specified limits, up to 100 pages of an EBSCO eBook can be printed, saved or emailed as a PDF file (per user).
- To save eBook pages as a PDF:
- Go to the first page of the section of pages you would like to print and click the Save Pages in the tools menu above.
-
- Select to include in the PDF:
- Current Page: Save only the page you are viewing.
- Current Page and the next XX pages: Enter the number of pages (up to the Page Limit indicated in the box above) in the field provided.
- This Section: Select to save the entire section or chapter of the eBook. (If available to select)
- Select Save PDF to save the selected pages to your computer.
- To save eBook Chapters as a PDF:
- Click the Download button for the chapter you would like to save.
- Select the specific chapter(s) to download and save to your computer.
2. Full book downloads
By clicking Full Download (the button is also available at the upper right corner in the eBook Full Text viewer), you can check-out and download the eBook and read it on your computer when you are not connected to the Internet, or transfer it to your Adobe Digital Editions-compatible eBook Reader device.
- To download an eBook:
- Click the Full Download icon for the eBook you would like to download. If you are not logged into your MyEBSCO account, you are prompted to do so.
- Select a Download duration from the drop-down menu and confirm that you have Adobe Digital Editions or equivalent reader software installed.
- Click the Full Download button and it will be saved to your computer and can be opened with Adobe Digital Editions at a later time.
Note:
1. In order to download eBooks, you must have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer. We recommend ensuring you have the most recent version of Digital Editions installed. This is a free download available at http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html.
2. The download duration for eBooks ranges from 1 to 7 days, after which the eBooks can be re-downloaded upon expiration. Users are permitted to borrow multiple eBooks simultaneously, with no restrictions on the number of downloads. Additionally, the same eBook can be borrowed by multiple users concurrently.
