Please follow the procedure below for borrowing:
Step 1: Check the availability of any item you want to borrow first at Library Catalogue System.
Step 2: Items can be checked out either at self-borrowing and returning machines using your XJTLU username and password, or at the Library Circulation Desk on the 3rd floor (SIP Campus) or on the 1st floor (Taicang Campus) with your XJTLU ID Card.
Step 3: Check the items for any damages on the spot when you borrow books from library. Make a statement to the staff if you find any book defaced or damaged, and ask to affix the library’s seal before you check it out. Otherwise, the last borrower will be fined for the damage.
Please NOTE:
- You are responsible for knowing when your books are due for return. You can check your borrowing record through My Library Record in Library Catalogue (OPAC). As you are responsible for all books issued on your account, you should not lend your books to other people.
- If all the copies of the book are on loan and you still wish to borrow it, please use the "Reservation" function to request the item.
- If the item you need is from "Restricted Resources", then you can use the "Inter-Branch Delivery" function to request the item.
