To borrow books from the Library, follow the steps below:

1. Check the availability of any item you want to borrow first in Library Catalogue (OPAC).

2. Books can be checked out either at self-service machines on the 1st, 4th and 8th floors, or at the Library Circulation Desk on the 3rd floor if you are at the Library in Central Building, North Campus.

Books can be checked out either at self-service machines or at the Library Circulation Desk on the 1st floor if you are at the Library in XJTLU Entrepreneur College(Taicang).

3. Check the items for any damages when you borrow books from library. Make a statement to the staff if you find any book defaced or damaged, asking for affix library’s seal before you check it out. Otherwise the last borrower will be fined for the damage.

Please NOTE:

  • You are responsible for knowing when your books are due for return. You can check your borrowing record through My Library Record in Library Catalogue (OPAC). As you are responsible for all books issued on your account, you should not lend your books to other people.
  • If all copies of the book you want are out on loan, you can reserve a copy through OPAC. Refer to the relevant links below.
