The possible reasons for this might be:
- The item is currently not on loan. If the item is not on loan, then it is available for you to collect from the its location.
- You cannot reserve an item that you have already borrowed.
- Non-circulating items such as past exam papers cannot be reserved, as they are not allowed to be taken outside of the Library.
-
The item is not allowed to reserve such as course reserves.
-
If you have reached the limit of your reservation quota then you cannot reserve additional items. Each student is allowed to reserve a maximum of 8 items at one time. If you would like to reserve another item, you must cancel one of your reservations.
- An item itself can only be reserved by a maximum of 8 people. If the item is reserved by 8 people at one time, then you will not be able to reserve the item. You will have to wait until the item has less than 8 reservations. If the item is returned, it will then be given to the next person who has reserved it.
