The meaning of the status of the books is as follows:
Status
Meaning
in stock
The item is available for patrons to borrow.
- If it is located on the shelf in the library, please click "Locate This Book” to get the location of the book.
- If all copies of the item you want to borrow are not available or they are on loan on your campus, and the item on other campuses is in the status of “in stock” ; or if the item you need is from “Restricted Resources”, please use Inter-Branch Delivery to request the item.
on loan
The item has been borrowed by someone else.
processing
The item is being or to be catalogued. Fill out the Priority Cataloging Request Form at the Library Circulation Desk on the 3rd floor (SIP Campus) or on the 1st floor (Taicang campus) in the library to initiate the priority cataloging service.
view only
The item can only be used in the library. It cannot be checked out.
